#Synopsis:
Eve Bryant finds herself moving across the country with only one goal- rediscover herself and get her life back on track…
Leaving a disastrous marriage, she swears off men and relationships, but when she meets sexy, charismatic Grant Mitchell, her new rules fly right out the window.
Grant is a born and bred businessman, and he always gets what he wants…
The moment he lays eyes on Eve, Grant is determined she will be his. She’s different from other women he knows- too stiff, too prim- but her smile pierces his heart, and he longs to see what she’s like when she lets her hair down. They discover a powerful and undeniable connection, leading to a fast moving relationship that leaves Eve whirling in its wake.
The odds are stacked against them, and trust is hard to come by.
A woman scorned, a troubled ex-husband, and a mother bent on orchestrating her son’s future to suit her own agenda make for a very rocky road. The new couple may not last, not matter how strong their for each other are. Grant is willing to fight to keep Eve in his live, but after recent events, Eve isn’t sure she has any fight left to give.
Will outside forces drive Eve and Grant apart? Or will they learn there’s no love greater than the one you fight the hardest to keep?

Praise from previous reviews:
“With Eve's fire and Grant's cocky determination, this was a fast, fun, believable read. I don't generally go for the alpha males even if saying so does place me in a significant minority, but, in this book, Grant was perfect. I wouldn't mind meeting or dating an alpha male like him any day!”

“This story made remember why I love to read romance!”
-Jennifer Jura, Reader

“I just spent all day reading this book for the second time. I loved it even more the second time around. The characters are well developed and pull you right in. Eve and Grant's story sizzles and I can't wait for the next book in the series!”

#Excerpt

Excerpts:
1
“What happens the next time my life goes to shit?” My voice was shaking, but I willed myself not to cry. Not this time. “What happens when you decide that you are done with my drama and with me? You’ll have given up your family for some crazy girl who became a huge regret?”
Grant leaned forward, so we were nose-to-nose. “I don’t know what that asshole did to you, but I hate that you talk about yourself like that because it isn’t true. You are worth so much more than he led you to believe. You are not some crazy girl, and if you think I can just give up on you, on us, you’ve got another thing coming. I have enough fight for the both of us, and I can only hope that you get on board because I don’t plan on spending another night without you. The last two were hell, and I will not go through that again. For the first time in my life, I was terrified. I felt what you feel when you worry. That terror, it was unbearable.”
I leaned into him and pressed my lips to his. My arms went around his neck into his messy brown hair. He pulled me into his lap. “You promised you would stop running. You have to start letting me in without making me chase you.”
I burrowed my face into his neck. “I know, but I’m terrified of letting you handle everything and losing myself again in the process. I just put some of the pieces back together, and I can’t afford for them to fall apart again.”
“I know.” He whispered in my ear with his face buried in my neck. “We will fix all of this together. You don’t have to do any of this on your own. I fell in love with the feisty beauty who thought I was going to murder her when I tried to ask her out. I’ve been chasing you this whole time. Slow down and let me catch you, Eve. I will. I promise.”

2
“Have you been listening to anything I have said to you? I would move mountains to be with you, to make you happy. Baby, I felt you that first time I met you. I felt you from across the room. There is no doubt in my mind you were made for me. You make me feel for the first time ever. I lose my breath when you walk in a room. When you opened the door downstairs, I literally couldn’t breath after not seeing you for two days. You make me laugh, and you make me crazy. There is no one else in the world who does what you do to me, and I know a lot of women.”
“Grant!”
“I’m just kidding about the other women.”
“No you aren’t,” I pouted.
He took my bottom lip between his teeth. “No woman has ever made my heart beat as fast as you do. I had never felt butterflies until I met you. I don’t know what else to do to prove I am totally, without a doubt, head over heels in love with you.” He kissed me again. “I’m out of words, Eve. I’ve told you over and over how I feel. I have chased you all over Seattle and now across the country. What else can I do?”
I ran my finger across the worry lines on his forehead and looked into his worried eyes that were his usual mix of colors. “There isn’t anything else you could do to show me that you love me. I never doubted our feelings for each other. When it is just the two of us like this, I forget about everything else in my life. This is happiness right here, but unfortunately we can’t spend all day everyday like this. The outside world has a way of creeping in, and for whatever reason, I’m still so weak. Knowing what you were willing to risk for me makes me want to try harder though. Knowing you think I’m worth all of that makes me kind of believe it too. You are a wonderful man, and I’m just the lucky one who happens to own the heart that was meant to connect with yours.”

3
His lips met mine, and I instantly melted into him. I felt the tension and anger leave my body. When he pulled away he added, “I don’t want to think about you with another man. I don’t want you to have to go back and deal with your ex, so yeah Eve, I’m dealing with this or trying to anyway.”
I didn’t know what to say. He was dealing with the fact that he felt possessive, and while I should have thought it was crazy that he had such strong feelings about me already, I couldn’t, because I felt the same way. Instead of thinking too much or really thinking at all, I responded wordlessly pulled Grant back down on top of me. My hands slid down his back and found their way under his clothes to feel the heat of his skin.
“Please tell me you’re mine, Eve. I can’t do this any other way.” His expression was pained, and I knew I would rather see those green eyes everyday for as long as I had him than ever see that hurt expression on his face again.
