Popcorn in a Paper Bag

Hello everyone!

I hope you are all well and I have something fun to share 😊 I made popcorn in a paper bag! Yes it may be silly but I enjoyed it and it’s something fun for kids to try too.

The directions are below the popcorn picture and you can add butter and salt after. If you do this with kids please make sure they do not get burned.

Kids will love this and you can have a movie night too or just enjoy a snack.

More to come during the week, thank you for stopping by and have a great week! ❤️

Christmas Eve Shenanigans

I am struggling mentally today, like really bad! I am trying to stay positive and my aunt and uncle stopped by with gifts so talking to them helped.

The phot above is what I made yesterday morning. It’s cold tuna pasta salad. I took a photo of the pasta and veggies before adding Mayo and tuna fish. Sadly I didn’t have cucumber in the house but it’s still good 😊

You can add any veggie you want and you can use any dressing you like too. I have used Italian dressing before, you can use Ranch dressing or any dressing.

Here are the rest of the photos;

Let it sit in the fridge for about 8 hours and it’s ready to go. Best time to make it is at night. Cut up veggies and cook pasta before hand, let pasta cool then add the veggies, Mayo/dressing and mix. Let it sit to let flavor soak in.

I think I will make this again this week.

Also I bought beef at the grocery store today so I will be making different meals this week and into next week.

There will be no post tomorrow, it’s Christmas and it’s a day off from social media. I will update on Saturday or next week.

Thanks for stopping by.

What to Make This Week

Sorry, no photos for this post.

I am trying to think of what to make this week with what I have for food in the house and not overspend on food when I get to the grocery store.

Here are some of my ideas so far;

Cold tuna noodle casserole, this has noodles, mayo, onions, celery, peppers, and tuna fish in it. My grandmother made this a lot in the summer and it's a great snack to have especially on warm days and it's easy to make.

Make pasta before and let the pasta cool down, once the pasta is cooled off you can add in what you like and you don't have to add tuna fish if you don't want too. Get creative with this dish.

Homemade Chicken Noodle soup; you can get the ingredients when you go to the grocery store and if you have time, cut up any vegetables the night before to start making the soup the next morning.

Ham with Swiss cheese or Cheddar cheese; this is easy and a favourite of mine or use steak.

Make something from scratch or just get creative, if it helps you prep the night before so you can put the food in the oven or have it ready for a crockpot or stovetop.

Hope this helps any of you that stop by. my blog and read.

I will not post an entry on Christmas day (December25th) and will try to update after the holiday. Maybe I can come up with a few things to make on New Year's Eve.

Snacks as a Gift 🎁

Before I get to the “snacks as a gift”, I did make a great lunch and forgot to take a photo! I had steak and asparagus in a dill butter sauce. Next time I make lunch I will make sure to take a photo!

Now to our topic, “Snacks as a Gift”. 😊

My friend Connie dropped off a gift of snacks from her and her fiancΓ©. They do this at Christmas time and I think it’s a great gift to give.

You don’t have to do a lot of snacks, you can make 4 things and put them in bags and put together in a box or gift bag and give it as a gift.

I love this kind of gift, I have a sweet tooth and I have backed off of sweets but it’s a snack which I love. The photo in this post is one of the snacks in the tin. There was fudge (I think it’s fudge), blueberry 🫐 jam, pistachios that are seasoned, chocolate bark and a cone that you break open.

Saving the cone for tomorrow.

I like this kind of gift or if you want something different, you can make a movie night basket or bucket, make a spa day basket, make a movie basket without popcorn and put a gift card in to get takeout.

I hope this may help some of you if you need a gift idea and something quick. Christmas in the states is next Friday!

I will post again just before Christmas πŸŽ„

Boxing with Nintendo Switch

Today’s review is about boxing! It’s on the Nintendo Switch and it’s a great way to workout!! I love it πŸ₯°

I took a screen shot from my phone and looked up the game on Amazon.com

When you download the demo, you get 4 days (you can skip days in between the workouts) then you have the option to buy the game.

Right now the game is $49.99 and can go up in price depending on where you look. I think the price of the game is good compared to paying $60 but I am on a budget.

With the demo download you get to try out the game and see if you want to buy the full version or not.

You get different trainers and it’s a great way to workout even if you do 15 minutes. It’s one way of learning to box at home and in the comfort of a room especially during this pandemic.

I have not made it this far but any workout I do with boxing or with Zumba or Just Dance, I have fun and get a workout in.

You can do this game by yourself or have a friend over and both of you can workout.

I recommend this game to anyone who is looking to workout, have fun and enjoy workout games.

Chips Ahoy Sour Patch Cookies

I was at the dollar store last week getting some snacks and I saw this! I was curious and bought a package.

I tried them and to be honest and frank, don’t eat them!

They are awful and taste gross! I will never get these again, sour patch and cookies do not mix at all!!!

Chips Ahoy, what were you thinking?!?!

I did not like them at all and only tried half of one cookie.

The Hardy Boys on Hulu

Today The Hardy Boys came out on Hulu and so far I am loving it!

I took the screen shot when I searched on google.  Also this show is based on books if you happen to be a reader and would like a mystery.

I did not read the books but have heard of them and they big back in the day, not sure if anyone reads them now but I think they would be good for young adults.

The first episode is sad but also sets up for the next episode. There is sadness, intrigue, fun, Bridgeport and many clues and theories about what is going on.

I like it and I think people should give it a try, you may like it or may like the books.
