Happy Saturday and Pesto Recipe!!!

Hello and happy Saturday everyone! I hope all of you are doing well and enjoying the day so far or evening, depending on where you are.

I found a recipe for a Wild Garlic Pesto, it's a german side dish and I think I may make it soon. It sounds yummy and I love garlic.

Here is the recipe:

Wild Garlic Pesto

Bärlauchpesto
This variation of classic Italian pesto uses wild garlic (ramps) and has rapidly gained popularity in Germany. Serve with cooked meats, pasta, or anywhere you'd use the classic pesto.
Course Condiment, Side Dish
Keyword Pine nuts, Ramps
Servings

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp grated parmesan or favorite artisan cheese
  • 2 tbsp pine nuts
  • 1/4 cup cold-pressed rapeseed oil (Rapsöl or canola oil)
  • 3 oz wild garlic ramps, Bärlauch
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  • Thoroughly rinse wild garlic leaves, drain well and chop coarsely.
  • Add the leaves, the oil, pine nuts, and cheese to a mixer or food processor and mix until the ingredients come together in a smooth paste.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Here is the link if that works better for you and you can explore more recipes on the site too.

I would say you can take out the pine nuts if you are allergic and add something else.  If you are not allergic to nuts, give it a try.

When I do make this and when I make this, I will post about it with pics.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

Some Sort of Happy by Melanie Harlow

Coming September 22, 2015

Synopsis

Skylar Nixon is a twenty-seven year old failed actress with no Plan B. After a humiliating stint on a reality TV show crushes what’s left of her childhood dream, she finds herself back in her hometown with no money saved, no college degree, and no confidence she’s anything but a joke—a small town starlet who couldn’t hack it in the big city.

When she runs into former classmate Sebastian Pryce, she can’t believe the hot body and chiseled jaw belong to the shy, troubled loner she knew ten years before. He’s not exactly friendly at first, and she’s heard the rumors about his tragic past, but something in his sad eyes intrigues her. She only wants to get to know him better.

Until the night she wants more—and takes it. (Hard and deep. Twice.)

Are they just two lonely people seeking solace? Or can a disgraced beauty queen and flawed, frustrated man find some sort of happy ever after?

**SOME SORT OF HAPPY is a full-length, dual POV novel, complete with a happy ending.**

Today

Today I felt like a loser but was happy too. It was a strange thing today plus drama from a family member.

I'm going to focus on other things and not the drama!

Good news is I read a little more of The Mermaids Pearl and going to read some more tonight before bed.

Well I hope to post more tomorrow
