The first book in the Redwood Series

I received a copy of this book for an honest review

This book deserves 10 stars!!!!! That is how good this book is.

I LOVED this book!!! It is shorter then I would like but it keeps you turning page for page! I didn’t want to put it down and I did to eat, sleep and work.

I got to meet Kerrigan who grew up in Kentucky and is very very sheltered. Her parents kept her sheltered and really controlled her life but she studied hard and graduates at an early age with a Masters! That is impressive for a character but understandable since you have so much free time you might as well study.

She moves away to Redding where Vaughn Enterprises is and is now an assistant. Great job, great money and a new place where she can explore but there is a pull there, something she cannot describe and I want to know what it is! I was hoping to find out in this book but it doesn’t tell you, so now I will read the next book and find out.

Bryce helps Kerrigan come out of her shell and helps her with a new warbdrobe plus a spa day, I want a spa day! Kerrigan is jealous and envious of Lucia who is super beautiful with blonde hair but she really  likes her like a girl crush, yes I listened to Little Big Town’s song of Girl Crush. I liked it and very fitting for this book too.

There is non stop action and fantastic dreams and the beautiful Red Wood Forest in this book and I highly recommend it to everyone! I loved it and I will be getting the next book.

Home sick

I left work early tonight due to a fever and cough. I know that the flu is going around and it is that time of year for it.

I feel like crap and I'm staying home tomorrow and resting! I hate being sick and rarely get sick. I did get a flu shot too.

This is what I stocked up on and I'm not sure if I will be up too posting but will see. I am going to try and get some reading done while home tomorrow and just relax with a lot of fluids.

Christmas shopping and Cake!

I did last minute Christmas shopping and I'm done!

Also I'm posting what I bought for my niece and a cake I bought.

This is the MP3 player my niece wanted and it wasn't expensive so I got it for her. She also wanted an iPhone 6 pus after she saw mine and.....

No way! I'm not buying her a phone at 11 years old! I had to wait til I was 18 years old to have one.

Anyways now for the cake I bought. It's really sugary frosting but soooo good!

I did drop it and it's slightly moved but it's still good.

Okay I'm cooking some meals for the next few days for work. 

I'm also going to take a nap at some point today plus read. I'm trying to stay positive all day and not be negative. 

So I'm cooking and got to talk with a few friends yesterday which one of the talks was needed. I'm glad I have a friend who doesn't sugar coat anything when I talk to him.

Feeling Acomplished

Sorry for any spelling mistakes.

Today has been good. I worked this  morning then went home to make dinner for tonight because I'm working a 3p to 11p.

I'm using my bent lunch box that I received as a gift for Christmas. I did take pictures and will post them later.

I have beef with vegetables and a small salad.

I also wanted to be creative and wrapped the beef in seaweed ( sushi wrap) and did the same with veggies.

Ok will post pics later tonight. Working now and need to pay attention.

The Originals and other things

I have not watched the recent episode of The Originals yet but I will tonight. This way I can do a review tonight or early tomorrow morning for all of you.

Not much else to report on, I have been working a lot and have little time for much else. I am cutting back on all the hours so I can rest more and read more plus do more reviews.

I did some reading las tnight but since I have been having eye problems, I made a doctors appointment to get my eyes looked at and hopefully can get the problem taken care of.

I did some shopping on Amazon for a few things. I like shopping on there and I can get some good deals. I bought a battery for my car starter (remote control keychain) and it came yesterday in the mail. The battery I needed was  L1028 and I thought I would need a watch battery but no this is a little battery.

I don;t get much time to go to a auto store and look for one so I shopped on Amazon for it and got a 5 pack of them. :)

I also bought "The Looking Glass Wars". A coworker told me about this book and its all the books in one. Its a different version on Alice in Wonderland and I bought hard cover which was $13 plus shipping and I will get it next Monday.

I'm excited for this book and look forward to reading it, I have been on an Alice in Wonderland kick for awhile now and I love reading different versions of it that authors have written.

So when I get the book, I will post about it and let you guys know what its all about.

I work at a college campus cafeteria and we go on Thanksgiving break next week which I need a break but want to do a lot of reading besides working my nursing jobs. This will be a good time for me to read the many books on my kindle.

So that is my news for now,  I will post more later tonight or tomorrow morning.

Apple Iphone

Yes I'm going to complain about apple.

I have the iphone 5 and lately it has been freezing up on me and restarting. Yesterday I get a notice that there is and update so I clicked on it to start updating. Usually when I update with ios I don't need to be connected to itunes.

Well yesterday I needed to be connected. My phone kept showing me that I needed to connect to itunes and I couldn't because I was working and when I'm home, I don't have internet.

So I haven't had a phone for over 12 hours and it does suck but is nice too. So here I am at work where I can use my laptop and connect and restore my phone since it still wont update.

This sucks because I use my phone a lot to update on here and on facebook. So when I couldn't update I was bummed out. I have now learned to be coneccted to the internet and itunes when an update is available to avoid this problem in the future.

I will be posting more when I get the apps downloaded so I can post more on my facebook page and on here.

Early work day

Got a wake up phone call from work at 6am this morning!

I will try to post after I'm done working but not making any promises. I did finish a book that took me 2 months to read.

Okay I need to get to work since I start at 7am.

Work

I have been working the last few days and I have not been reading. I'm hoping to start a new book tomorrow.

I started reading Thrill Ride in the Black Knight Inc series.

I also downloaded a lot of books that groups have posted on Facebook. Some are free and some are $0.99 which is awesome!!!

So I will update soon about the next book I start reading.

Frozen and will do a chapter review

Ok, I have been busy getting ready for Anime Boston plus working. I am going to post a chapter review either tonight or tomorrow. I promise this time!

I'm watching Frozen with Jen and James , it's cute and really a fun movie.

Reading

Willg get back to reading The MacGregor Brides tomorrow. I worked all weekend and don't time with friends too.

I will get back to reading tomorrow plus I was a beta reader for an author so I had a lot of reading and a review to give by yesterday.

Long time

Been a very long time since I last posted here. I have a few other journals that I write in as well.

Work has been good and the college goes on break next Friday night for winter break! Have five weeks off but will work in home health care and at the nursing home.

I chopped all my hair off and it's really short which is great but I now have to style it every morning.

Not much is new otherwise, just working and had a great thanksgiving. I spent time with my family and I enjoyed it then went to bed later.

I was tired!

Anyways I will try to post more on here and not neglect this journal! I need to write down goals and hang them up, could be very helpful.
