Ruthless by Michelle St. James
Review done by Cassandra Brooker for Alpha Book Club
I received an ARC for an honest review.
This deserves 10 stars! It is non stop action with a romance brewing like Romeo and Juliet.
Nico sounds super yummy and with him changing how is crime mob works, he is bound to fall through some cracks before landing just right where he needs to be.
Angelica is kidnapped but has no clue about her family. What kind of parent does this to a child?! Why would her father not tell her what he truly does and give her a different last name?!
All this comes to head in the book, Angelica finds out the truth about her family history and I’m not sure she will want to be near her dad.
The mafia is not something or someone you want to mess with or piss off. I like that it takes place in New York, I have not been but would love too and the places are described very well. The botanical garden sounds beautiful and when Nico can get the park closed for 2 hours, things will happen!
Will Nico be able to keep Angelica?
Will Angelica accept the truth about her father?
Will Carlos Rossi finally own up to what he has done?
I recommend you get this book immediately if you like crime families and forbidden love.
Ruthless Synopsis:
Two years out of college, Angelica Bondesan spends her time working as a barista, keeping in touch with her prodigal brother, and trying to figure out how to bridge the gap with her father, a wealthy real estate developer.
But all of that changes the night she’s kidnapped. Thrown into a windowless room, Angelica is positive there’s been some kind of mistake — until she meets Nico Vitale.
Gorgeous and frightening, Nico became the boss of New York City’s Vitale crime family after the execution style murder of his parents two years earlier. Since then he’s turned the old-school mob into a sleek, modern army of ruthless men who understand that physical violence — while always an option — isn’t the only way to get what you want.
Now Angel is forced to face the truth;
Her father is not the man she believed him to be.
Nico Vitale is dangerous, possibly lethal.
She is falling in love with Nico Vitale.
