Excerpt

Without knowing Matt's plans, or of his escape, Marie screamed up at the sky as Matt’s plane flew directly over the hospital. She reached up and wailed as his plane soared higher. She could feel him, feel his pain and it added to her own. She stretched out her arms towards him as she implored him to come back to her. The invisible twin cord was stretching between them and growing tight. It pulled at her soul and pulled at her heart as she felt the distance between them growing. In the corner of the room, the ghost of her mother sat and watched as she sobbed profusely.
"Mamma, he’s leaving," she wailed in anguish.
"Yes, my child, but you will find him again."
"Must I spend my life chasing him?"
Her mother tutted.
"If you had told him, he’d have taken you with him. Didn’t he come for you before?"
"Yes, Mamma." She looked down as the tears dropped on to the floor of her locked hospital room.
The door opened and the doctors walked in. Their white coats flapping around them as they encircled her and looked down. She had been kneeling in the far corner and now she looked up at them, her eyes fearful.

What Others Are Saying

Another book which takes you on a snake twisting and turning journey of disbelief. How to review without giving the many things away? This could be the hardest review to write. This book is so fast paced that the words were literally jumping off the page. ~ Goodreads Review

This books delivers AGAIN! ...
A range of happiness, anger, hate, sadness,OMG,WTH moments as it continues on with Matt's story. So far I have loved to hate Matt throughout the other books. But this one has bought sadness into the mix of my feelings towards him. ~ Goodreads Review

Matt is back again after fleeing from the law to America. It’s going to be hard to say much as I don’t want to give anything away that will spoil the enjoyment of this book, but let me tell you that it is a fantastic read, I think this is my favourite of the series! ~ Goodreads Review

As all of the other books in this series, I devoured every sentence from the Foreward to the Epilgoue. My emotions went through the ringer once again. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry! I was shocked and surprised! ~ Goodreads Review

Review

Red Veil of Murder by Viveca Benoir
Review done by Cassandra Brooker for Cassandra’s reviews
I received an ARC for an honest review

I give this book 4.5 stars.

Okay, I had a little trouble following the storyline but managed to figure it out.  It had a great story line just hard to follow for me.
Matt had flown to California to find his beloved Venia, he left his son behind and even though it hurt him he still left. Matt had everything arranged plus unlimited cash.
He had done his research before arriving in California and found out where Venia was working.
I won’t give too much away because I don’t want to spoil it for you.
Venia is acting strange and Matt can’t put his finger on it but he knows that something is wrong. He does some digging and discovers a cold hard truth. He finds another girl chained up, she is hurt badly and malnourished but who is she?
Will Mat save her?
Karma is cruel and Matt makes sure Venia (evil lady or happy coffee shop owner) will know the extent of it.
What will Matt do?

I recommend you get this book and read it; it is a mind twister but really good. I struggled on the plot line but it’s still very good and I think you will all enjoy this book. For mature audiences only (18+)

Revised September 16th

I re-wrote the last part of my story from September 16th, it has been revised and I am still writing more but for now I will post what I have. Hope this time it makes more sense to all of you that follow me and the story.

“Mom where is the book that has all the history of Silver City in it?” asked Matt

“ I think it is in the attic but be careful because the roof is leaking into the attic” said Jen.

Matt ran up the stairs to the second floor and then went to his left and by his room. The attic door was only 5 more feet and he wanted to find the book that held every piece of information on Harper and Klohe plus about the city as well.
Matt reached the door to the attic and opened it and went two steps at a time to get inot the attic and his mom was right about the roof leaking. It was wet and soggy in some areas in the attic but all the rain didn’t help either.

“Why is there so much stuff in this attic?” Matt asked outloud.

Matt looked at everything while he was looking for the book containing all the information and on that he needed to look at. He passed paintings of the royal family, Lords and Ladies and a painting of Matt and Klohe when they were babies.
Matt admired the painting then moved on in the attic.

He finally found the trunk which stood out amongst everything. The trunk was made of cherry wood and had rubys along the edge that glowed when light was shinning in through the window. This trunk was locked but Matt had the key around his neck as did his parents.

When Matt opened the trunk, the book was on top, he grabbed it and sat down on the floor to read through about everything or at least find out why Harper and Klohe were separated.
In the book:

King Nathan and his sister Nica very different in many ways even though they were related by blood. Nica was into dark magic and wanted to rule in her evil ways and make everyone slaves. Her vision was a dark world and dominate every country and conquer earth.
King Nathan was the first born and he was crowned King while Nica was always second best. She hated her brother because her parents like him better. Nathan had a heart and the city loved him and his parents did too.

“We will see the end of days, I will be queen when the time is right! I will take your first born child and raise them as my own and bring this city to it’s knees and crumble!” said Nica to Nathan at his corination.
‘I see you have turned evil through and through in your body Nica, that is a shame and I will now banish you from the city for all eternity so you can not walk here when you are dead. You will never know who my first born is and we will fight you if you even try to harm the city” said Nathan.

With All Nathan sai, he has Nica escorted out of the palace and had the guards put shackels on her, they brought her to the outer most edge of the city where she would live in hiding and not be allowed back into the city.
King Nathan had been looking for a wife so he could settle down and start his own family. One day while he was out iding, he met a young woman named Sakura and he fell in love.

Of course this wasn’t happily ever after, Sakura found out the truth about Nica and was afraid her unborn child would be stolen. Sakura decided to start this book, keep all the secrets in it about the city and about the royal family. It was to be buried and never be found unless all evil prevailed.

Still have more to write to this but I wanted to share it anyways and always love feedback! Hope you enjoy.

New writing

Here is what I have and not sure the last part of it makes sense or I repeated myself. I am going to write more and maybe fix the end where I left off. Sorry for not posting for awhile but I have been exhausted with work but I will do my best to post every Friday.

Thank you all for commenting and leaving feedback for me, it helps me and I really love the feedback!!!

After walking Klohe to her house, Matt left and went home to ask his parents about things that were going on plus about Harper and who she really was.

Matt’s parents were part of the royal guard and were part of a stealth force to protect Klohe when the twins were split up at birth. Matt and his parents went to earth to keep a watchful eye on Klohe.

Matt didn’t know any of the history of Silver City until he was 8 years old and he made the same oath as his parents to protect Klohe. Matt has kept this secret from Klohe in order to protect her.

“Mom, there is a new girl at school and her name is Harper” Matt said

“Not the same Harper as Klohe’s twin?” Jen asked (Matt’s mom)

“ I believe so, Klohe says they look a lot like and Harper keeps staring at her in class”.

“Please tell me the story again why they were separated at birth” Matt asked.

“It s with the king and his sister, related by blood but different in many ways.”

August, the king had a sister who was into evil arts and practiced them. Her name was Nica and she had her eye on the throne since August became king.

Nica had tried to poison the king and his wife but they had a spy that forworned them and they lived but knew when the queen was with child that they would have to go into hiding til the child was 18 years of age.

Matt is Klohe’s childhood friend and lover Matt grew up with Klohe but his family was sent to live near the royal princess to protect her. Matt’s parents were guards back in the city and when the twin girls were born they were seperated after a few short days.

Klohe was calm and loving but when you were around Harper, you could feel evil rolling off of her and this is why the girls were seperated. Harper lived in Europe for years and Klohe lived in America, now they have come face to face.

Klohe’s parents were not happy when they had to seperate the twin girls but they knew it had to be done and they had to take Klohe and go into hiding.

More

I did more writing but it's not a lot. I'm having temporary writers block. Anyways I hope this is good and gives some insight to who "Matt" is. Hope you like it.

“Mary! You don’t know anything about Matt at all and you judge him from the outside and don’t want to know him! I think you are jealous because Matt is my childhood friend and he knows me better than you!” Said Klohe.

“What ever Klohe, I know Matt well and he is just manipulating you and you are letting him. I have to get to class since I have a test, I will see you later.”

Klohe never understood Mary and why she was always jealous of Matt. Matt was a kind guy who cared for Klohe and really knew her better than Mary. Matt and Klohe have been friends from birth with the same birthday and grew up together..

When Matt was around Klohe, she felt safe with him and felt warm inside. Even though they are not around each other like they used to be, Klohe still feels safe when Matt is around. Klohe could never guess why but it has been that way since they were born.

I'm not sure if this was 250 words but I will try writing more and post it next week Monday. I hope to make it longer too. Oh, if I am missing punctuation marks or anything like it just let me know.
